Upholster a fun headboard where morning greetings and special messages can be written. Black Chalkcloth can be used as a teaching tool in a home school or traditional classroom. Sew fun aprons that can be used by many people by just erasing the name and writing the name of the new cook. Why did you choose this?
I want to recover the seated lid of a toy box for a playroom. Would this fabric be ok and durable for it?
BEST ANSWER: While it's not considered an upholstery fabric, it is a heavy vinyl that should hold up fine. It is stiff though, so it might be difficult to apply to a cushioned seat.
Can chalk markers be used on this product?
BEST ANSWER: Once it is cured, you should be able to.
I have a piece of chalkboard fabric that has been folded for a long time. How do I get it smooth again with no fold marks?
BEST ANSWER: You could try iron it gently on the back side. Constantly move the iron back and forth so that the iron does not make an imprint. If that does not work then I would put a thin cloth on the front and iron the front. If it was a fold you might get it out. If it is a tight crease then you may not get it out.
This is a great product at a fantastic price. Excited to get started on projects.
