Why did you choose this?
What's the face weight?
BEST ANSWER: This is a lightweight fabric. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
Is this good for lining aprons?
BEST ANSWER: Yes you can use this for lining aprons. You can also use cotton broadcloth.
would this fabric be good for a duvet cover/?
Would you say this sheeting has something of a crisp hand or more of a soft hand after washing? I am placing an order for a few different weights of clear vinyl, possibly some fabric, and was going to buy a sample of this sheeting, but I don't see an "order sample" button on the page. I don't like "crisp" sheets, and cotton sheeting can vary noticeably. I see that you told another customer that it will crease, so unless I can get a sample to test, it sounds like it is a crisper fabric rather than soft?
BEST ANSWER: Definitely soft, but prewash
Can this be used for children's apparel?
BEST ANSWER: Contact our customer service at either email@example.com or 877-781-2967 Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm EST.
Could you see this fabric being made into bed sheets? Is it soft enough? Durable enough?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this fabric is perfect for bed sheets!
Can this fabric be dyed with Rit?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this 100% cotton fabric would be great for dyeing with Rit dye.
Is this good for quilt back?
Is this fabric good for dressmaking?
BEST ANSWER: It may be good for creating drafts but it is more than likely too thin for a dress on it's own. You could add a lining. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
Does this fabric need ironing after washing? Want to make sheets for daybed.
BEST ANSWER: It will crease. You could throw it in a dryer for a few minutes.
Does this fabric sleep cool? If not, what do you recommend?
BEST ANSWER: Since this is 100% cotton and is on the thinner side, it should allow your body to breath enough to be considered a "cool" sheet.
I make quilts .... give away to kids and seniors... usually buy in fabric store... no wrinkle cotton for backing ..... am 89 wand currently housebound.... IS THIS WHAT I HAVE BEEN BUYING FOR OVER 20 YEARS for BACKING MY QUILTS?
This is a gorgeous, extremely wide fabric, and the gloss lasts after washing, so far. I've made several items from this fabric: a bed-skirt, pillowcases, and curtains....and I'm going to order more soon.

Good - opaque but not heavy. Definitely wrinkles in the wash due to 100% cotton composition, but made up beautifully into twelve little nighties for Madeline's Xmas.
