Why did you choose this?
I would like to use this to cover and protect a fancy table cloth on my dining room table which is used for every meal. Would this product be suitable?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this product is great for protecting tablecloths and tables from spills and messes! You can order a sample first and if you feel it's too thin for your daily use, going up a gauge or two won't hurt. Please be aware that this specific product is a 15 yard piece, depending on how large your table is, the 54" version of this (sold by the yard) may better suit your needs.
Can I use this as a floor protection in my living room since I have to put folding tables on top?
BEST ANSWER: If it's temporary for something like a bridge game or something I suppose you can. But it might eventually tear from small-ended table/chair legs.
I'm not sure how you'd do this without it tripping people though. Rugs would be better
what thickness should I use to cover my screened porch?
BEST ANSWER: All gauges get the job done, so it depends on how exactly you plan on covering the screened porch. 6 gauge vinyl is thin, flexible and easy to work with. It works well if using frames with spline. Any gauge can be stapled to frames. Medium gauges, like 16 and 20, are flexible but not too floppy. 30 or 40 gauge are thicker and stiffer but can withstand extreme cold. If you're unsure, we suggest ordering samples to compare.
I need the 72" width but in a thicker gauge. Do you have anything above a 6 gauge?
BEST ANSWER: Not in a 72" width.
Can this be used on concrete under ano 18 x 33 above ground pool?
BEST ANSWER: This vinyl isn't produced for that specific use, it may not hold up as well as a vinyl designed for use in and around pools.
Can this be sewing together to make a couch cover?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you could use this to make a couch cover. Make sure to have the proper type of needle when sewing with vinyl!
Can this be used as a table cloth?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this gauge is thin enough that it has flexibility, making it able to drape enough for a table cloth. We suggest ordering a sample if you want to see it in person.
Does this 6-gauge clear vinyl product come folded or on a roll?
BEST ANSWER: I comes on a roll. Good product.
Can you see through it. It's for our sun room,we'd like to still see out.?
BEST ANSWER: Yes - I turned my screened patio into at least a 2-season, if not 3- or 4-season room with this. I have a security camera that looks through an indoor window then out through this vinyl & screens - perfectly clear. I'd attach a photo but it's dark out right now.
Can I use to protect a wall hanging?
BEST ANSWER: I would say “yes”. I’ve used it outside to cover windows to protect from winter weather.

BEST ANSWER: this vinyl would not stand up to hot temperatures.
I need something that is 6'4" x 12' do you have?
BEST ANSWER: This is the widest we have, which is just a bit narrower than you need.
Can this be used as an umbrella cover? Each year, mice and other rodents eat through my standard umbrella covers and then eat my umbrellas. Replacing a $200 every year gets expensive.
BEST ANSWER: I suppose it could be as it is a nice thick vinyl. You will need to be sure to have a secure closure to keep the mice out.
I used it for clear covers over fabric tablecloths. It is super durable and wipe-able.
I'd like to use the 72" 6 gauge as a winter cover for a screen enclosure. I note that this item "cold cracks" at 0 deg F - does this mean that winter temps of -25 will destroy this material? Thank you
BEST ANSWER: The vinyl will become more brittle the colder it gets past 0 degrees, but it doesn't necessarily mean that it will crack. The cold crack test is usually preformed by folding the vinyl sharply or hitting it with something at cold temperatures. As long as you're not handling it roughly, it should be fine. For your application, it might not survive a tree branch being blown into it, but it's unlikely to be affected otherwise.
I want to sew window cutrains for my deck would this work.? Or do I need thicker ?. Would be out in winter also. Michigan winters.

We needed clear vinyl to enclose our screened porch. We've used several different plastics over the years, but this by far is the best, it is the perfect gauge for the job. Blocks the elements, but let's you see what's happening outside at the same time. Perfect!
