Why did you choose this?
I would like to use this to cover and protect a fancy table cloth on my dining room table which is used for every meal. Would this product be suitable?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this product is great for protecting tablecloths and tables from spills and messes! You can order a sample first and if you feel it's too thin for your daily use, going up a gauge or two won't hurt. Please be aware that this specific product is a 15 yard piece, depending on how large your table is, the 54" version of this (sold by the yard) may better suit your needs.
I need the 72" width but in a thicker gauge. Do you have anything above a 6 gauge?
BEST ANSWER: Not in a 72" width.
Can I use this as a floor protection in my living room since I have to put folding tables on top?
BEST ANSWER: If it's temporary for something like a bridge game or something I suppose you can. But it might eventually tear from small-ended table/chair legs.
I'm not sure how you'd do this without it tripping people though. Rugs would be better
Can this be used as a table cloth?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this gauge is thin enough that it has flexibility, making it able to drape enough for a table cloth. We suggest ordering a sample if you want to see it in person.
what thickness should I use to cover my screened porch?
BEST ANSWER: All gauges get the job done, so it depends on how exactly you plan on covering the screened porch. 6 gauge vinyl is thin, flexible and easy to work with. It works well if using frames with spline. Any gauge can be stapled to frames. Medium gauges, like 16 and 20, are flexible but not too floppy. 30 or 40 gauge are thicker and stiffer but can withstand extreme cold. If you're unsure, we suggest ordering samples to compare.
Can this be used on concrete under ano 18 x 33 above ground pool?
BEST ANSWER: This vinyl isn't produced for that specific use, it may not hold up as well as a vinyl designed for use in and around pools.
Can this be sewing together to make a couch cover?

To cover a screened porch, Which gauge is useable in central Alabama for winter season.?
BEST ANSWER: I live in NC near Raleigh. I purchased the 72" 6 Gauge clear Vinyl - 15 Yards. It was prefect. 6 Gauge is thick enough to kept out the cold yet it's is flexible enough to use with easy. I have used the same vinyl for 3 years now. I have a wood stove on my porch. It stays hot. If you keep the fire going. Love this vinyl. I am going to order more for my front porch. It has remained clear as the day I put it up. I used a rod to roll the vinyl up. Much like a blind. In the spring I just roll the vinyl up like a blind. In winter I let it down and secure it. Best thing I've done to improve my porch. We live out there.
Does this 6-gauge clear vinyl product come folded or on a roll?
BEST ANSWER: I comes on a roll. Good product.
I need a gauge that I will be able to cut with a utility knife. What gauge would work best?

BEST ANSWER: I use it to enclose my porch every winter because it is so clear.
Can this be put over cracked plexiglass?
BEST ANSWER: What type of application do you mean? If on a table top, I think it would be perfect. We used it on top of long banquet tables dressed with tablecloths and handkerchief toppers. Chafin servers were set on top of the vinyl. This made for easy clean up at the end of each day -- just wiped the vinyl clean! This vinyl is durable yet plyable enough to drape a little bit.

Is this vinyl PVC?
BEST ANSWER: vinyl and pvc are the same
Can I use to protect a wall hanging?

BEST ANSWER: Yes - I turned my screened patio into at least a 2-season, if not 3- or 4-season room with this. I have a security camera that looks through an indoor window then out through this vinyl & screens - perfectly clear. I'd attach a photo but it's dark out right now.

is there a way to attach the vinyl to the aluminum the porch is made of?
BEST ANSWER: I attached mine to the wooden section on my porch using a wooden strip to hold it in place. You could possibly use a strip if you had some nails or small screws designed to drill into aluminum to hold it. I used a piece all the way across to keep it from tearing or ripping with the wind
