Why did you choose this?
Is the metallic in the copper lame fabric of actual copper ?
Is this opaque or transparent?
BEST ANSWER: It has a slight transparency to it but very subtle.
Also the color is quite orange in person
I ordered the swatch and then ordered the fabric and they are not the same color. I want the color of the swatch. what can be done? Copper lame
BEST ANSWER: Samples may not be cut from the same roll that you were sent and lot colors can differ, though usually not very noticeably. Customer service may be able to help. You can contact them at either email@example.com or 877-781-2967 Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm EST.
Does it fray?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it does fray quite a bit.
Can this fabric be used to make men's ties and hankies?
BEST ANSWER: A tie, perhaps. The fabric is a bit abrasive for a hankie. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
Update to my previous review: I have ordered this COPPER lame multiple times in the past and still do. The supplier may have changed on the past year because what I have been receiving the last several orders has been more of an ORANGE color? I understand there could be slight color variations from bolt to bolt, but I purchase 50-100 yard bolts and it has been consistently the ORANGE color in 2018. At first I thought I received the wrong color, but OFS doesn't carry an actual orange lame. So for future purchasers just be aware that the color leans towards orange rather then a COPPER PENNY color
For marching band flags this fabric is good.
