Grade 90 Cheesecloth is tougher and more durable than the Grade 10 and Grade 50 Cheesecloth. It is ideal for cleaners, cooks, and those who need cheesecloth fabric that will last and can be used again. 90 Grade Cheesecloth has 44 x 36 threads per square inch, making it almost like a solid fabric. This dense weave cheesecloth is excellent for mask-making, dressmaking, and curtains. In the kitchen, it can be used as a substitute for butter muslin and for the making of goat cheese. Cheesecloth is also often used with wool batting to prevent bearding in quilts. This versatile cheese cloth fabric is durable, of excellent quality, and will last over time.

Why did you choose this?
Is there an average length of the pieces it comes in?
BEST ANSWER: I have ordered this item many times and only had one continuous piece. I think they advertise it as having multiple lengths as a disclaimer in case there is a break in the fabric length.
Was curious, since it's not in a continuous piece, approximately what length are the pieces?
BEST ANSWER: We cannot guarantee what size pieces this cheesecloth will come in if the yardage isn't continuous, you could definitely sew or attach pieces together if you needed the extra length.
Can this be used for dressmaking?
BEST ANSWER: I wouldn't use it for the dress itself, but you could use it for embellishment. The weave is loose enough that it would not stay on grain for dress construction (and it would be somewhat transparent as a garment).
Does this have finished or raw edges?
BEST ANSWER: Cheesecloth Grade 90 has raw edges.
i would be ordering this for a barn wedding, does it come in a natural color, something off-white?
BEST ANSWER: This cheesecloth doesn't come in an off-white, but cotton scrim has a similar look and comes in natural. It's popular for barn weddings.
what is the country of origin for this fabric?
Could this be used for slip making? Is it pretty soft.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the cheesecloth! The quality and price are perfect. I received a white box with the cheesecloth folded in it and it is JUST what I needed. I will be back for more when I need it. Thanks!
