Can this be used to cover chair cushions?
A shopper on Oct 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We have never heard of Ripstop being used that way, but it's possible it could work. While it's durable, it's also very thin and lightweight. If you want to get a better sense of the fabric, you can order a sample. I don't know exactly what you're looking for, but these outdoor decor fabrics might be closer to what you want:
Would this fabric be appropriate for a swimwear cover-up? Would it cling to your body form when wet? What is the minimum yardage you can order?
A shopper on Mar 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, I don't think it would be comfortable against the skin and yes, it would cling. it is wateproof, so it acts like a very thin vinyl. I used it to sew bike packs.
Would this material be good for a tent fly?
Robert M on Jan 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It probably would be. It's waterproof and durable. Good luck.
is this good for kids' rain jacket or snow pants if lined with polyester fleece? If not, any suggestions?

I want a fabric that can be used to make covers for tubes to float on the river. Does this fabric have have a lot of stretch to it? Would this work ?

Is this fabric suitable for seat covers in trucks?
Delores P on Jun 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This fabric is too lightweight for this application.
Could it be used for tents? Or is that considered long term use?
A shopper on Jun 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It's hard to say. If you're only using a tent occasionally for a night or two, it should be fine. It's not meant to withstand days on end of outdoor use.
Can this fabric be used to make a women's jacket?
A shopper on Jun 7, 2017

Nice thick fabric that doesn't fray at all.
It is a little hard to sew because it is so dense, but is great fabric.
