- Please Note: The slight creases, shading, size and printing irregularities are characteristic of this retro fabric and add to the oilcloth's unique personality. These will not affect the quality and durability and should not be considered cause for return or considered imperfections. Backings and color lots may vary. The recent Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA) prohibits oilcloth garments such as bibs and aprons or toys for children under age 12. This is due to the level of phthalates (a softener present in all vinyl) in the PVC vinyl of which oilcloth is made. It is constructed of vinyl with a poly/cotton scrim backing, printed by rotogravure.

when ordering more than 12 Yards please note it may come in more than one piece.

Why did you choose this?
are the flowers red or more orange?

Please tell me which patterns are available in the 55" width.

Does it ever come in 60inch?
BEST ANSWER: Some of the oilcloth comes in 55" but not 60".
Would this work for a shower curtain if I use a separate vinyl liner?
BEST ANSWER: Not sure how the humidity would affect the backing. I would be afraid it would begin to separate. I use this fabric primarily for tablecloths, aprons, and it makes a very festive book cover! You just wipe it clean. cannot be washed or dried.
I want to make an audition curtain for my quilts. That require the oil cloth to be flannel backed so the fabric pieces will stick. then when I roll it up my unfinished quilt is protected and ready for the next sewing session. So the bottom line is do you carry oil cloth with flannel backing?
What is the backing material of this fabric?
Overall impression of the fabric store is highly favorable and I would recommend them to anyone looking for different fabrics.

Bold Mexican Colors
I am so happy with my oilcloth fabric. It's serving as a tablecloth in my food-prep area. It's a nice thick material, and easy-clean. At first there was an odor from the vinyl, but that dissipated after a week. The flowers are big 8-9" in diameter, and the colors are bold. Just what I wanted. The other style with the black background is in the Mexican traditional Tehuana color scheme, but I like the lime green in my kitchen.
