Why did you choose this?
Would this burlap work well for curtains? I may line it with a solid color that can be changed out....
BEST ANSWER: I believe this would work fine for curtains.
Is this a tight weave?
BEST ANSWER: I don't consider it a tight weave. It is a uniform open weave. I use it as an informal table cover over a natural colored table cloth for Thanksgiving and top it with pumpkins, gourds, etc. I am very pleased with it for my purposes.
I am considering buying this Burlap fabric in natural color to use as long tableclothes for my wedding. I am wondering if the fabric is appropriate for this? Softness?
BEST ANSWER: We purchased this product for my daughters wedding too. We didn't use it for tablecloths, but other projects. I just checked some of the burlap we had leftover and found it is softer than what I remembered. I could rest my forearems on the fabric and not feel a itchy, scratchy feel. It is not soft like a cotton or linen but is softer than a typical gunny sack or old fashioned potatoe sack. Hope this helps!
I'm looking for the exported burlap sacks used primarily for coffee beans. Do you offer a product similar? Item would have to hydrocarbon free as well.
BEST ANSWER: Here's our selection of hydrocarbon free burlap bags. The used coffee bags are most likely hydrocarbon free but we can't say for sure because our selection changes.
Is this burlap fabric appropriate for rug hooking (a 20x30 rug)?
BEST ANSWER: We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
how many yards would I need to make a 100 foot runner?
BEST ANSWER: We sell 100' burlap runners
Would this burlap be good to use to reupholster a dining chair?
BEST ANSWER: Burlap is scratchy and tends to shed jute fibers, so we don't recommend it for dining chairs or other surfaces that you sit on.
How open is the natural color burlap fabric? I want to be able to see through it.
BEST ANSWER: You would be able to see through it if you held it close to your face. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
What kind of dye is used for this fabric?
