Why did you choose this?
I like to make a cover for my convertible beetle while it is parked for me to go to a restaurant etc. etc., it needs to be waterproof, lightweight and somewhat uv proof would this be a good fabric?
BEST ANSWER: Hey. I think this would be a good fabric for what you are trying to make. Its definitely lightweight and waterproof. As far as uv proof I think you might want to double it (ps thats just my opinion if you want to block more light). Also make sure to serge the ends or put a heavy-duty fray glue so the ends can stay in tact
is this waterproof, for most intents and purposes? I want something to use on the beach, directly on damp sand, to lay my towel/blanket on, so my towel will not absorb the wetness from the damp sand.
BEST ANSWER: I don't believe it would be if left in contact with wet sand. It is water resistant as in water runs off.
Can this canvas be stretched onto a frame and used for an oil canvas?
BEST ANSWER: I wouldn’t. I don’t think Nylon is the right surface for oil to attach to.
Is this the same fabric used for shower curtain liners? Hotel nylon..water repellant and mildew resistant?
BEST ANSWER: No, the fabric you're thinking of is not a woven fabric.
Can this fabric be used for an overlay for a shirt?
BEST ANSWER: This item is probably too stiff for a shirt. We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.
Will this fabric work for manufacturing of canopy for photo booth?
Size of the canopy 16' x25'
BEST ANSWER: It should work, but it isn't wide enough for your required dimensions. You'd need to attach several pieces together horizontally to get a 16' or 25' width.
Great fabric for awning.
