We sleep in our vehicle when we camp and have mosquito netting in the windows, but midges get in, so we're making new screens with finer netting. My dad taught me to make easy screens: press a length of clothesline into the gap in the seal where the glass usually inserts, pressing the edge of the netting between the clothesline and the seal. That seals the top and sides; for mosquitos it's sufficient to leave the netting hanging down long at the bottom. We'll see if that works for midges too...

SHERRIE C on Apr 19, 2017
I am highly allergic to the bites of noseeums (aka biting midges), and these "nasties" can come right through regular mosquito netting as if it isn't there. We already retrofitted all of our regular window screens with similar netting. Now we are going to use this noseeum netting to enclose our porch so I can enjoy our great weather, and we can open the connecting french doors without letting the nasty noseeums into our house.

Can it be sewn on the sewing machine? If yes, what is the best thread and needle size to use in the sewing machine?
A shopper on Apr 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this can be sewn on a home sewing machine. Polyester thread with a small to medium needle size will work fine.

See this article for tips on sewing sheer fabric:
I'm trying to make sure that this is actually noseeum netting and not mosquito netting? This needs to be approximately 3,700+ holes per square inch.
A shopper on Feb 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: While I haven't actually counted the number of holes per square inch, I have had this material up for about 9 months and nothing has gotten through it. Let me add, this is in use in deep South Texas--nearly on the border with Mexico -- where it virtually never gets cold and insects are rampant year round. I think you'll be safe using this material.
Does sunlight and air get through?
A shopper on Mar 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes. See this video to get a better sense of the fabric:

We recommend ordering a sample to be sure that it will work for your project.

A shopper on Sep 19, 2016

Can it be use for a lanai or pool enclosures?
A shopper on Dec 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I saw yes you can use it but it’s thin and more fabric than thick screens more of the thickness of a net over your sleeping bed. I used it for screen doors on a tent and works great see thru and no bugs !

A shopper on Dec 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: 0.17 lbs. / yd.

I would like to keep bamboo leaves from littering and clogging my small shallow pond that has a white rock bed, so that i can shake off the leaves once a week. How visible this netting be?
A shopper on Sep 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We're not sure, but you can order a sample to see if it will work for you. Sample shipping is free within the US.
if it is 100% nylon, why the dry clean only?
A shopper on Aug 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Dry cleaning is recommended by the manufacturer. It may be too delicate to machine wash, but hand washing might be fine. We cannot guarantee the results so we suggest testing it out on a yard of fabric.
Can this be used with a pergola as shield to screen out the sun's rays?
A shopper on Aug 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It will help diffuse some of the sun's rays but will not entirely block them as this is a sheer fabric.
Can this be used for bed netting?
A shopper on Jul 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, seems so. It's also somewhat stiff (relative to the weight) so it should stay in place and not float in a breeze
